CAAAV Voice builds the political power of working class Asian immigrants, tenants, and youth in NYC.
We are the sibling organization of CAAAV: Organizing Asian Communities, which organizes working class immigrants to fight predatory speculation and gentrification in our city.
Our work
THE ONLY COUNTERWEIGHT TO ORGANIZED REAL ESTATE
IS THE POWER OF ORGANIZED TENANTS
Asian immigrant and working class tenants at CAAAV Voice are building a citywide movement to take back power from real estate billionaires and take control over our lives.
In June of 2025, we organized our neighborhoods—from Chinatown to Sunset Park, from Astoria to Jamaica—to deliver Zohran Mamdani’s Democratic Mayoral Primary win. In our fight for a mayor who answers to tenants, working class and immigrant New Yorkers made history by beating back millions of dollars in real estate and corporate money in the finance capital of the world.

Under real estate-backed Eric Adams, nearly 3 million rent-stabilized tenants — who make up half of NYC’s renters — face 13% rent hikes 13%. In 2025, we have been fighting for a mayor who commits to delivering a four-year citywide rent freeze by:
Organizing working class tenants across six Asian immigrant neighborhoods to deliver Mamdani’s historic Primary win
Reached 15,000 voters on doors, in parks, and on the streets, and trained hundreds of volunteers in Mandarin, Cantonese, Fujianese, Bangla, English
Outreached to neighborhood institutions including mosques, senior centers, neighborhood associations, and Chinese and Bangla media outlets
